THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE EFFORTS OF THE HOSPITAL IN PROVIDING EXCEPTIONAL PATIENT CARE, ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY, AND A HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT THROUGH FUNDRAISING.THE MERCY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE AWARD-WINNING CARE THAT IS PROVIDED TO THE PATIENTS OF OUR HOSPITAL BY RAISING MONEY FROM INDIVIDUALS, CORPORATIONS, AND FOUNDATIONS.THE FUND RAISING CONDUCTED BY MERCY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE PROGRAMS OF THE HOSPITAL. THESE PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR PATIENTS, STAFF AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS. ULTIMATELY, OUR PATIENTS BENEFIT FROM THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY AVAILABLE AND THE MOST INNOVATIVE CARE POSSIBLE. OUR STAFF BENEFITS FROM WORKING IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT THAT SUPPORTS THEIR NEEDS. HOSPITAL CAPITAL GRANTS - 2019 GRANT TOTAL: $763,927ADVANCING THE LEGACY OF CARING CAPITAL CAMPAIGN - 2019 GRANT TOTAL $763,927: ADVANCING THE LEGACY OF CARING CAPITAL CAMPAIGN COMMITMENT OF $6.8M IS TO SUPPORT THE "ONE HOSPITAL WITH TWO CAMPUSES" ALLINA CAPITAL INVESTMENT IN MERCY HOSPITAL WHICH WILL ALLOW MERCY TO BECOME THE "POWERHOUSE" TERTIARY HOSPITAL FOR THE NORTH METROPOLITAN AREA. THE GRANT IS TO ENHANCE FACILITIES AND PROGRAM OFFERINGS FOR CONTINUED EXCELLENCE IN PATIENT CARE AND EXPERIENCE, ELIMINATING DUPLICATED SERVICES, AND MAINTAIN A LEVEL OF SERVICE AND SKILL ALLOWING PATIENTS TO RECEIVE EXCEPTIONAL CARE WHERE THEY LIVE.MHF ULTRA SOUNDS-EMERGENCY CAPITAL GRANT - 2019 GRANT TOTAL $149,700: PORTABLE ULTRA SOUND TECHNOLOGY DEVICES WERE PURCHASED FOR THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AT BOTH MERCY AND UNITY CAMPUSES TO ENHANCE THE EXCELLENT LEVEL OF CARE PROVIDED TO PATIENTS.
HOSPITAL OPERATION GRANTS - 2019 GRANT TOTAL:$593,049CANCER PATIENT EMERGENCY FUND PROGRAM - 2019 GRANT TOTAL $71,172: CANCER PATIENTS FREQUENTLY EXPERIENCE SIGNIFICANT FINANCIAL CHALLENGES DUE TO THEIR ILLNESSES. THIS FUND HELPS PATIENTS PAY FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES TO CONTINUE THEIR TREATMENTS, BUT IT ALSO HELPS PATIENTS MEET DAILY LIVING EXPENSES-RENT, FOOD, CHILD CARE, AND THE LIKE-WHEN THEY CANNOT WORK BECAUSE OF THEIR CANCER.HEALTH SCREENINGS FOR HIGH SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS - 2019 GRANT TOTAL $30,612. IT IS A 24/7 ALLINA HEALTH RESOURCE FOR SCHEDULING, REFERRALS, QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS.PATIENT EMERGENCY SUPPORT - 2019 GRANTS $26,623: THE PATIENT EMERGENCY SUPPORT GRANT ASSISTS MERCY AND UNITY HOSPITAL PATIENTS WHO ARE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY BECAUSE OF CHRONIC, AND IN SOME INSTANCES SEVERE BUT ACUTE, MEDICAL CONDITIONS. IT IS USED FOR PATIENTS WHO HAVE UNEXPECTED AND URGENT NEEDS THEY ARE OTHERWISE UNABLE TO AFFORD.
