Organizations Filed Purposes: The West Broadway Business Coalition leads initiatives to bring businesses, non-profit organizations, and neighbors together to create an inviting and vital west Broadway corridor that will transform the Northside into a thriving economic community.

Beautification - The West Broadway Improvement District (WBID) or sometimes referred to nationally as a Business Improvement District (BID) is a tool that allows property owners in a commercial district to collectively assess themselves to fund special amenities and enhanced services. BID's have been operating in the United States for over 30 years, and have consistently shown a proven impact on tenancy and property values of the neighborhoods in which they operate. In the City of Minneapolis, there are 18 Business Improvement Districts.

Outreach and events - FLOW Northside Arts Crawl: Since 2006, FLOW has become both a community celebration and the premier art event in North Minneapolis. FLOW is a non-juried, self guided tour of studios, galleries, theaters, commercial and vacant spaces over a mile and a half of the West Broadway corridor. From b-boys to ballet, graffiti to graphite, rap to rhapsody, fine artist to arts, practicing to professional, FLOW showcases the great art being made every day on the Northside. FLOW is a program of the West Broadway Coalition that showcases over Northside artists of all ages and experiences at various locations around the community with an exciting weekend of indoor and outdoor activities. Open Streets West Broadway: Open Streets Minneapolis is part of a global movement to make streets places that put people first. During these free, family-friendly events local nonprofit Our Streets Minneapolis partners with the City of Minneapolis to temporarily close major thoroughfares to car traffic, opening them to people biking, walking, rolling, and connecting with neighbors and local businesses. Open Streets Minneapolis events help us experience streets as public spaces where communities thrive. These events spark transformative changes in how people think about streets. At each Open Streets Minneapolis event, local businesses, artists, community groups, and institutions come out into the street to play. Black Friday on Broadway: Black Friday on Broadway (BFOB) is a collaboration between the Northside Economic Opportunity Network (NEON) and the West Broadway Business and Area Coalition (WBC). It encourages the community and beyond to support entrepreneurs on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday - while promoting holiday shopping in the richly diverse business district of North Minneapolis.

931 Shop Northside: Pop up retail space is expanded as a broader campaign to showcase and support Northside businesses, including collaborations across corridors. Storefront serves as a physical embodiment of the Shop Northside campaign. The space has photos and descriptions of Northside businesses and partners and has the feel of a Northside business Welcome Center. Be the Change event sale fundraiser for Vitals - April 27 & 28, Mother's Day Boutique - May 5 and May 12, BTAP Drop In Hours - May 7-11, With Davis Legal, City staff and Main Street Alliance, Fridaze
