Organizations Filed Purposes:
Our main focus is on rescuing adoptable cats from the three local pounds, and preventing their euthanasia. Our mission is to educate the citizens of our community in the proper and humane care of not only cats, but all animals.
Cats Cradle Shelter was very busy during calendar year 2020. We took a total of 673 cats and kittens into our rescue. Included in this total were adult cats and kittens from our 3 metro pounds in Moorhead, MN, Fargo, N.D. and West Fargo, N.D. The remainder were strays, owner surrender and taken in from other rescues. Cats Cradle has over 100 volunteers working at the shelter and as foster families with weekly dedicated hours in the hundreds. By year end we had adopted out 636 cats and kittens. We also had multiple medical emergencies and critical care expenses for many of our lost and abandoned innocents. Cats Cradle Shelter will continue their mission to rescue, educate, spay/neuter, and work unselfishly toward a No-Kill Nation. We were open only by appointment since March due to Covid.
