Organizations Filed Purposes:
Meals from the Heart is a nonprofit organization that brings people together to serve their neighbors through easy to execute, energized and fun meal packing events building relationships and strengthening communities while providing flavorful, fortified meals to local food shelves and families.
FOOD BOX: We started the FOOD BOX program in September 2020. We did this by building our initial FOOD BOX inventory, identifying volunteers from local businesses and community partners to pack FOOD BOXES and packing 200 boxes in September and October 2020 for distribution in December 2020 and January 2021. We also created awareness about this new program for our existing business and community partners (to garner volunteer and financial support).
Meal Packing Events: Facilitated meal packing events where over 1000 volunteers packed meals given to people in need. In 2020, approximately 267,000 meals were packed under the brand name Meals from the Heart. This was about 80% less than normal due to COVID.
