DELIVER SERVICES: INTERFAITH OUTREACH DELIVERS INDIVIDUALIZED AND COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO HELP FAMILIES STABILIZE, STRENGTHEN AND THRIVE. INTERFAITH OUTREACH RESOLVES FINANCIAL CRISES TO HELP PEOPLE MOVE OUT OF POVERTY. IN FY20, 1,951 FAMILIES WORKED WITH US TO RESOLVE THEIR IMMEDIATE CRISES, MEET BASIC NEEDS, AND STABILIZE. 52% OF THESE FAMILIES MOVED FORWARD WITH FEWER EMERGENCY NEEDS, NAVIGATED BARRIERS MORE SUCCESSFULLY, AND CREATED PLANS AND PURSUED OPPORTUNITIES TO ACHIEVE SHORT- AND LONG-TERM GOALS. WE WORK IN THE SIX IMPACT AREAS NOTED BELOW. FOOD: THE FOOD SHELF PROVIDES A FOOD SAFETY NET AND SUPPLEMENTAL RESOURCE FOR FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS WHO LIVE ON LOW AND FIXED INCOMES. 68% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR WORK IN FOOD.FAMILY SUPPORT: INTERFAITH OUTREACH CASE MANAGERS WORK SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH FAMILIES IN TIMES OF NEED SUCH AS JOB LOSS, PENDING EVICTION, FAMILY BREAKUP, A MEDICAL CRISIS, ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, CAR REPAIR, CHILD CARE NEEDS AND MORE. IN ADDITION, HOLIDAY AND BIRTHDAY GIFTS, BABY LAYETTES AND OTHER SERVICES ENGAGE OUR COMMUNITY IN CARING FOR THE LITTLE THINGS IN THE LIFE OF A FAMILY THAT OFTEN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE. 80% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR FAMILY SUPPORT WORK.HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOODS: INTERFAITH OUTREACH PROVIDES RENT ASSISTANCE TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS, OFFERS TRANSITIONAL HOUSING SUPPORT FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN, PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES WHO LIVE IN NINE MULTI-UNIT HOUSING NEIGHBORHOODS, AND PARTNERS WITH DEVELOPERS TO PRESERVE AND INCREASE THE NUMBER OF AFFORDABLE RENTAL UNITS IN OUR COMMUNITY. 36% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOODS WORK.EDUCATION AND YOUTH: WE ARE ENGAGED IN A COLLECTIVE IMPACT INITIATIVE THAT BRINGS TOGETHER LOCAL EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE PROVIDERS, THE WAYZATA AND ORONO SCHOOL DISTRICTS, COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS, VOLUNTEERS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES DESIGNED TO CLOSE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY AND ACHEIVEMENT GAPS AMONG PRESCHOOL, SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN, AND YOUTH IN OUR COMMUNITY. 25% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR EDUCATION AND YOUTH WORK.EMPLOYMENT: INTERFAITH OUTREACH SUPPORTS ADULTS TO FIND AND KEEP JOBS BY ADDRESSING WORK READINESS BARRIERS, IDENTIFYING AND BUILDING SKILLS, AND IMPLEMENTING INDIVIDUAL JOB SEARCH STRATEGIES. WE PARTNER WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES AND TRAINING PROVIDERS TO CONNECT CLIENTS WITH OPPORTUNITIES THAT SET THEM UP FOR LIVING WAGE EMPLOYMENT. 11% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR EMPLOYMENT WORK.TRANSPORTATION: INTERFAITH OUTREACH PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE TO ENSURE PEOPLE CAN FIND AND KEEP JOBS, A CRITICAL NEED IN THE SUBURBS WHERE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS ARE LIMITED. VOLUNTEER DRIVERS PROVIDE RIDES TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, AS WELL AS ADULT BASIC EDUCATION AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING CLASSES. 18% OF THE FAMILIES WE WORKED WITH WERE IMPACTED BY OUR TRANSPORTATION WORK.

ENGAGE STAKEHOLDERS AND PARTNERS: INTERFAITH OUTREACH ENGAGES COMMUNITY PARTNERS, STAKEHOLDERS, VOLUNTEERS AND PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IN ADDRESSING COMPLEX SOCIO-ECONOMIC COMMUNITY ISSUES, LEVERAGING RESOURCES (MONEY, TANGIBLE GOODS, TIME AND EXPERTISE), BUILDING MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL RELATIONSHIPS, CREATING A WELCOMING AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE, AND ENHANCING OVERALL SERVICE DELIVERY AND IMPACT. IN FY20, 1,844 VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED AN EQUIVALENT OF 55,403 SERVICE HOURS. THE TOTAL VALUE OF THE VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS CONTRIBUTED WAS $1,408,898. WE WERE SUPPORTED BY 7,058 DONORS. WE PARTNERED FOR IMPACT WITH FAITH COMMUNITIES, FOUNDATIONS, PUBLIC/PRIVATE EDUCATION SYSTEMS, CORPORATIONS, LOCAL BUSINESSES, HEALTH SYSTEMS, GOVERNMENT ENTITIES, CIVIC/COMMUNITY GROUPS AND OTHER FAMILY SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS.

DISCOVER COMMUNITY NEEDS AND OPPORTUNITIES: A GROWING SUBURBAN AFFORDABLE HOUSING CRISIS, UNMET MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS AND SYSTEMIC RACIAL, EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIOECONOMIC INEQUITIES CONTINUE TO KEEP MANY OF THE FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS OF OUR COMMUNITY OUT OF THE COMMUNITY MAINSTREAM. TO EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS THESE COMPLEX AND SYSTEMIC ISSUES REQUIRES INNOVATIVE AND TRANSFORMATIVE CROSS-SYSTEM, CROSS-SECTOR AWARENESS, INVESTMENT, PARTNERSHIP AND ACTION. IN FY 20, WE AND OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS HAVE FOCUSED ON DEEPENED COLLABORATIVE DISCOVERY AND ACTION TO ACHIEVE SHORT- AND LONG-TERM IMPACT IN THESE KEY AREAS.- AS AN EMPLOYER, SERVICE PROVIDER, COMMUNITY THOUGHT LEADER AND CONVENER, WE HAVE DEEPENED OUR ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION BEST PRACTICES AND ADDRESSED KNOWLEDGE GAPS AROUND RACIAL, EDUCATIONAL, MENTAL HEALTH AND SOCIOECONOMIC INEQUITIES THROUGH VARIED EDUCATION AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES.- INCREASED OPPORTUNITIES AND VENUES FOR MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT OF CLIENT VOICE IN THE PLANNING AND DESIGN OF OUR SERVICES HAVE GUIDED AND STRENGTHENED OUR SERVICE DELIVERY.- IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WASHBURN CENTER FOR CHILDREN, RELATE COUNSELING CENTER, AND WAYZATA PUBLIC SCHOOLS, WE ARE MAKING ACCESS TO ON-SITE AND OFF-SITE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AVAILABLE TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS. WE ARE LEARNING FROM THESE PARTNERSHIPS AND ARE INVESTED IN MAINTAINING AND GROWING THESE SERVICES.- GREAT EXPECTATIONS, A SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY CRADLE-TO-CAREER INITIATIVE DESIGNED TO CLOSE THE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY AND ACHIEVEMENT GAP OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH OF OUR COMMUNITY, IS BUILDING MOMENTUM.- INTERFAITH OUTREACH AND LOCAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING PARTNERS ARE ACTIVELY ADVOCATING FOR AND PURSUING FOUR NEW AFFORDABLE FAMILY RENTAL PROJECT OPPORTUNITIES.- WITH THE ONSET OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND VARIOUS MITIGATION EFFORTS, SUCH AS "STAY AT HOME ORDERS, INTERFAITH OUTREACH SHIFTED TO AN ESSENTIAL SERVICES MODEL OF SERVICE DELIVERY IN MARCH 2020. AT THE CLOSE OF THE FISCAL YEAR OUR PRESENT FOCUS IS ON FOOD, EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND WELCOMING NEW CLIENTS. PLANS ARE IN MOTION FOR EFFECTIVELY ADDRESSING ANTICIPATED INCREASED NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY.
