Kindred Family Focus (KFF), an affiliate of Nexus (another Minnesota-based nonprofit organization) is one of the largest private foster care providers in Minnesota. In 2018 KFF reached 735 children through short-term, emergency, whole family, specialized, and treatment foster care. Services are provided from community offices and foster homes across the state that reach more than 80 percent of Minnesota counties. In addition to foster care, KFF provides a wide array of resources designed to assure the safety, well-being, and permanency of nearly 1,000 Minnesota children and youth annually. In 2018, KFF provided: supervised visitation for 79 families; 116 days and 48 nights of crisis nursery care, adoption services for 66 families; and Children's Therapeutic Services and Supports (tailored mental health services for children/youth and families with particularly great needs) for 106 youth.
