THE ORGANIZATION IS A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WHICH IS ORGANIZED TO PROMOTE THE GREATER ROCHESTER, MN AREA AND PROVIDE SUPPORT TO ITS MEMBERS. THE CHAMBER'S MISSION IS TO LEAD, INFORM, ADVOCATE AND ADVANCE BUSINESS INTERESTS FOR MEMBERS AND TO PROMOTE A HEALTHY COMMUNITY AND A GROWING ECONOMY.
DAY AT THE CAPITOL - ROCHESTER ON TOUR AT THE CAPITOL (ROT) IS AN ANNUAL EVENT THAT GIVES AREA RESIDENTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO RALLY WITH ROCHESTER BUSINESS LEADERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN ST. PAUL TO PROMOTE ROCHESTER. EACH YEAR, MORE THAN 85 LEGISLATORS FROM ACROSS THE STATE HEAR FROM THE 400-PLUS ATTENDEES HOW IMPORTANT ROCHESTER IS TO THE ECONOMIC VITALITY OF THE STATE. PARTICIPANTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK WITH LEGISLATIVE, BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS WHILE HIGHLIGHTING MANY OF ROCHESTER'S PROMINENT LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES.
CHAMBER ANNUAL MEMBER CELEBRATION - THIS IS AN EVENING OF GOOD FOOD, GREAT ENTERTAINMENT AND NETWORKING. THIS CELEBRATION HONORS THE VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR, SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AND LAMP OF KNOWLEDGE AWARD WINNERS. THIS EVENT ALSO RECOGNIZES ROCHESTER BUSINESS GIVES PARTICIPANTS. THESE BUSINESSES ARE RECOGNIZED FOR GIVING CASH AND/OR IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AMOUNTING TO 2 PERCENT OR MORE OF THEIR PRETAX EARNINGS. THE PROGRAM IS BASED ON THE MINNESOTA KEYSTONE PROGRAM CRITERIA ESTABLISHED IN 1976 BY THE MINNEAPOLIS REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. OVER 700 MEMBERS ATTEND THIS EVENT. THE CHAIR OF THE BOARD GIVES YEAR-IN-REVIEW HIGHLIGHTS AND THE INCOMING CHAIR OF THE BOARD PRESENTS THE CHAMBER'S PRIORITIES FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR.
ANNUAL GOLF OUTING - A TIME FOR OUR MEMBERSHIP TO COME TOGETHER AND ENJOY OUR MINNESOTA SUMMER WEATHER AT THE BEAUTIFUL WILLOW CREEK GOLF COURSE. THIS IS A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR LEADERS TO CONNECT WITH OTHERS FROM THEIR OWN BUSINESS AND NETWORK WITH ROCHESTER AREA BUSINESS LEADERS. MEMBERS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE THEIR BUSINESS AND ENJOY A DAY OF GOLF.
