ONE CHILD IN EACH FAMILY IS ENROLLED IN A PRIVATE SCHOOL AND RECEIVES ADDITIONAL TUTORING IF NECESSARY. PARENTS TOOK PART IN PARENT TRAINING SEMINARS AND THE CHILDREN WERE INVOLVED IN VOLUNTEER COMMUNITY WORK.HEALTH CAREGIVE US WINGS PROVIDES MOST OF THE OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE ST. JOHN'S KAYORO COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER II (SJKHCII) IN KAYORO, UGANDA. THE CLINIC EMPLOYS 7 MEDICAL PROVIDERS. IN 2019, THE CLINIC PROVIDED MEDICAL SERVICES TO OVER 17,000 PEOPLE. SERVICES INCLUDED; PRENATAL CARE FOR 534 WOMEN, FAMILY PLANNING SERVICES FOR 753 PEOPLE, 2,461 LABORATORY TESTS CONDUCTED AND 1,638 IMMUNIZATIONS WERE ADMINISTERED. CLINIC STAFF TREATED 5,408 PEOPLE DURING COMMUNITY OUTREACH HEALTH CAMPS. AND 30 CHILDREN WERE BORN IN THE MATERNITY WARD.IN 2019, AN INPATIENT WARD WAS CONSTRUCTED. IT IS COMPRISED OF TWO ROOMS WITH BEDS FOR 10 WOMEN IN ONE ROOM AND 10 BEDS FOR MEN IN THE OTHER ROOM.ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITYGIVE US WINGS CONTINUED WORKING WITH 23 COMMUNITY-BASED GROUPS HELPING THEM OPERATE A MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE CALLED THE KAYORO OSUKURU MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE. THE PURPOSE OF THE COOPERATIVE IS TO INCREASE COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION OF GROUNDNUTS, ECONOMICALLY EMPOWER WOMEN AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY AND ENHANCE ACCESS TO MARKETS AND ULTIMATELY INCREASE THE MEMBERS' INCOMES. GIVE US WINGS PROVIDED SEED MONEY FOR THE COOP'S MICRO-LENDING PROGRAM AND HELPED THE COOP LEADERS BEGIN TO OPERATE A SAVINGS AND LOAN PROGRAM THROUGH THE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY. THE COOPERATIVE IS MADE UP OF OVER 1,543 FARM HOUSEHOLDS, OVER 12,300 INDIVIDUALS. GIVE US WINGS WILL CONTINUE WORKING WITH THE COOPERATIVE SOCIETY HELPING THEM TO SECURE FINANCING TO CONSTRUCT STORAGE FACILITIES TO HOUSE THEIR HARVESTED GRAINS.IN 2019, WE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF COOPERATIVES WE ARE WORKING. THEY ARE LOCATED IN TWO ADJACENT DISTRICTS. WE NOW WORK WITH 6 COOPERATIVES. WE HAVE PROVIDED THE GROUPS WITH TRAINING IN STRATEGIC PLANNING, GOVERNANCE AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT.
