MNEEP IS ORGANIZED TO INCREASE THE SUCCESS OF MINNESOTA STUDENTS OF COLOR IN MINNESOTA SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. MNEEP CONSISTS OF FOURTEEN EDUCATION INSTITUTION PARTNERS WHO INCLUDE ALL OF MINNESOTA'S PUBLIC AND PRIVATE EDUCATION SYSTEMS, THE MINNEAPOLIS AND SAINT PAUL PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AND SEVERAL SUBURBAN AND RURAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS. MNEEP WORKS CLOSELY WITH STUDENTS, PARENTS, COMMUNITIES OF COLOR, BUSINESS, GOVERNMENT AND OTHER NON PROFITS ON INNOVATIVE STRATEGIES THAT HELP STUDENTS TO SUCCEED.
MINNESOTA EDUCATION EQUITY PARTNERSHIP USES A RACE EQUITY LENS TO TRANSFORM EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND LEADERS TO ENSURE THAT STUDENTS OF COLOR AND AMERICAN INDIAN STUDENTS ACHIEVE FULL ACADEMIC AND LEADERSHIP SUCCESS.
BUILDING EQUITABLE SCHOOL COMMUNITIES & CAPACITY OF LEADERS TO LEAD WITH EQUITY LENS (REEEN): MNEEP SOUGHT TO INCREASE THE CAPACITY OF SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES TO PURSUE EQUITY GOALS BY PROVIDING LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR BOTH HEADS OF SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND FOR PARENTS, STUDENTS AND CIVIC ACTIVISTS. IN 2019-2020, THIS OVERALL GOAL WAS SUPPORTED THROUGH DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING:1.
