EDUCATION:LEADINGAGE MINNESOTA PROVIDED MEMBERS WITH 134 INDIVIDUAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OFFERING CEU IN 2019, PROVIDING 955 CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS REQUIRED FOR PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE OR TO MAINTAIN PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS. THE PROGRAMS WERE DELIVERED VIA DISTANCE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES (WEBINARS, AUDIO CONFERENCES), REGIONAL AND STATEWIDE MEETINGS, CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS AND SIGNATURE EVENTS. TOPIC AREAS INCLUDED WORKFORCE, DEMENTIA CARE, SUPERVISION AND MANAGEMENT TRAINING, REIMBURSEMENT, PUBLIC POLICY, LEADERSHIP AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE.
ADVOCACY: PROVIDED INFORMATION TO ELECTED OFFICIALS AND AGENCY STAFF ON A RANGE OF ISSUES IMPACTING OLDER ADULT SERVICE DELIVERY. THIS INCLUDED REPRESENTATION ON THE FOLLOWING TASK FORCES/WORK GROUPS GUIDING PUBLIC POLICY: OWN YOUR FUTURE ADVISORY COUNCIL; HOME AND COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES PARTNERS PANEL; HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY COMMITTEE. ALSO PROVIDED TESTIMONY DURING THE COURSE OF THE STATE LEGISLATIVE SESSION, MONITORED LEGISLATIVE HEARINGS, AND TRACKED LEGISLATION OF INTEREST TO MEMBERS.
INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:LEADINGAGE MINNESOTA PUBLISHED THE WEEKLY "ADVANTAGE" NEWSLETTER FOR MEMBERS REACHING MORE THAN 5,000 VIA EMAIL DISTRIBUTION. STAFF ALSO PROVIDED THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE VIA TELEPHONE, EMAIL AND IN-PERSON MEETINGS TO AN ESTIMATED 600 MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS ON ISSUES OF REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, MEDIA RELATIONS AND MEMBER SERVICES.
