Ten Thousand Things awakens the creative spirit of audiences and artists by bringing essential and exceptional theater to people from all backgrounds and life experiences. In our 19-20 season we produced, presented and toured two critically acclaimed productions; "The Winter's Tale" by Shakespeare and "Thunder Knocking on the Door" written by Keith Glover with music by Keb' MoX and Anderson Edwards. The Covid-19 pandemic necessitated the cancellation of over half our planned tour of "Thunder Knocking on the Door", as well as the entirety of our 3rd planned production, "The Hatmaker's Wife" by Laureen Yee. Prior to the shutdown, we performed 25 free performances, reaching 1506 audience members in community organizations across the state of Minnesota, including prisons, homeless shelters, adult education centers, libraries, chemical dependency centers, VA hospitals and more. Additionally, we performed 28 shows for paying audiences, reaching an additional 2761 audience members through central locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul. In addition to season productions we delivered artist residencies in correctional facilities senior centers and community centers throughout Minnesota.
