Tree trust's mission is to improve the community environment by investing in people. By transforming lives and landscapes, our programs provide meaningful opportunities for greening our local community, give youth the chance to experience success, boost their self-confidence, find positive direction, teach practical job skills to help adults reshape their lives, and help neighbors connect with each other and the natural world.
To improve the community environment by investing in people
Job Prep: We transform lives and landscapes by helping promising young people overcome barriers they're facing, so they can join the workforce and build productive careers. Pathways to new opportunities, like high-demand, living-wage green industry careers, are offered through career exploration, employment readiness training, paid work experience, support services, and job placement. Our programs enable youth to build positive connections with adults, improve decision-making skills, and develop leadership qualities as they journey toward self-sufficiency. We believe that every young person should have the opportunity to achieve their goals in employment, education and life.
Community Forestry: We inspire and help volunteers to plant thousands of trees in our communities every year. Tree Trust is committed to educate and empower people of all ages to become good stewards of their local environment through planting and caring for trees. Through tree distributions and planting events in community parks, elementary schools, and residential properties, students and community volunteers are planting a more resilient urban canopy and combatting the devastation of Emerald Ash Borer for a healthier planet.
Landscape Services: This program provides landscape services including tree care, landscape construction, property maintenance, and accessibility ramps to public, residential, and commercial clients. Landscape Services also provides pathways and experience for the Community Forestry and JobPrep employment programs through apprenticeship opportunities and collaborative projects.
