Organizations Filed Purposes: To represent victim/survivors of relationship abuse and member programs; challenge systems and institutions; promote social change; and support, educate, and connect member programs.

Public Awareness/Rebrand: Working with ImageHaus, the coalition rebranded developing a new name, logo, mission statement, messaging platform, and website redesign. We were a recipient of ImageHaus' 4C Giving Program, receiving $17,500 of design work at no cost. Additional funding for the redesign was through Otto Bremer Foundation.

Public Policy/Housing & Economic Justice: Economic justice work through the Allstate Foundation grant took the financial empowerment training and converted it to a five-week, self-directed, on-line course for advocates around the state to access. A companion on-line housing advocacy course was developed in partnership with legal services. The number of domestic violence advocacy programs doing economic empowerment work with survivors has increased both through increased individual advocacy skills and with dedicated educational groups for survivors. The Survivor Fund to provide low barrier access to one-time money to assist with housing stability and credit building has grown. Funded by Allstate Foundation, Pohlad Family Foundation, and Coalition grants - MN OJP and FVPSA.

Capacity Building/Karen Community Work: Working with community partners and Healtheast's Roselawn Clinic, the coalition adapted the Project Connect universal screening and warm referral model for the local Karen community - creating the first adaptation of this national model for a new immigrant/refugee community. Adaptation of the model involved working with community members and Karen Organization of Minnesota to find culturally appropriate ways to discuss domestic and sexual violence and reproductive coercion. Materials were fully adapted and will be implemented and evaluated for effectiveness over the coming year. Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) worked with community agencies to create a basic domestic violence awareness PSA for the Karen Community. Funded by: MN Dept of Health, Ramsey County Public Health, Center for Victims of Torture.
