DARTS VOLUNTEERS COMPLETED 6,291 SERVICE HOURS ASSISTING OLDER ADULTS BY DOING GROCERY SHOPPING AND ERRANDS, RESPITE CARE, AS WELL AS ADMINISTRATIVE WORK.
SERVICE COORDINATION AND CAREGIVER SERVICES DARTS' LICENSED SOCIAL WORKERS AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE COORDINATORS WORK WITH OLDER ADULTS AND FAMILY CAREGIVERS TO ASSESS NEEDS AND PROVIDE GUIDANCE, INCLUDING ON-SITE INDEPENDENT LIVING SUPPORT AT AREA HOUSING FACILITIES. 85% REPORT THE SERVICE FOUND THEM THE SUPPORTS THEY NEEDED AND CAREGIVERS REPORT REDUCED STRESS FROM THESE INTERACTIONS. SERVICE COORDINATORS WORKED WITH THE VOLUNTEER MANAGER TO MATCH VOLUNTEERS TO FAMILIES NEEDING RESPITE CARE. IN 2019, 13 FAMILIES RECEIVED RESPITE CARE. DARTS OFFERED 70 CAREGIVER, DEMENTIA AWARENESS AND MEDICARE GROUP EDUCATION EVENTS WITH 1,316 ATTENDEES. IN 2019, DARTS TRACKED 765 REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE THROUGH PHONE AND EMAIL REQUESTS, PROVIDED SERVICE COORDINATION TO 426 CLIENTS IN THE TEN AREA HOUSING FACILITIES, AND PROVIDED GROCERY SHOPPING OR VISITING SERVICES TO 22 CLIENTS.
