To help Baltimore communities forge strong connections among neighbors to market their communities, increase home values and create high standards for property improvement.
NSP2 Costs - In February 2010, HNI received a $26,092,990 grant from HUD's NSP2 program. The funds have been loaned to individual homebuyers and developers to acquire, renovate and sell 197 formerly vacant and/or foreclosed homes in neighborhoods targeted by HUD. Funds earned will be recycled into the project.
BEI - The Department of General Services, Energy Office, was awarded as a result of the Exelon settlement, the Customer Investment Fund, to be used towards grants and loans to assist energy conservation activities in nonprofits and small business, particularly those serving the disadvantaged in the city.
OMR - Within the "One Mile Radius" there are three district geographic areas: the Northwest Community Planning Forum SNAP, the Liberty-Wabash area, and Coldspring Newton. The overall goal of this spending is to make sure all areas benefit from projects funded by this revenue source and that there is some measure of equity in the funding allocation.
