Organizations Filed Purposes:
TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND ADVANCEMENT OF AFRICAN AMERICANS INTO AND WITHIN THE SENIOR RANKS OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: THE ANNUAL AAFEA LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP FOCUSES ON THE PROGRAMS, POLICIES, PRACTICES, AND PROCESSES THAT PROMOTE CAREER ENHANCING OPPORTUNITIES AND THE CORE SUBJECTS CRITICAL FOR BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE SES. THIS THREE DAY EVENT IS DESIGNED FOR FEDERAL AND MILITARY PROFESSIONALS WITH EXPERIENCE AT THE GS-13 AND ABOVE LEVEL.
MEMBER EVENTS: PROVIDES ATTENDEES WITH UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES TO SOCIALIZE AND NETWORK WITH SENIOR FEDERAL PROFESSIONALS.
SCHOLARSHIPS: The scholarships provide financial support to selected candidates in their pursuit of higher education, professional development, and/or coaching to enhance their ability to become a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES).
