Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide healthy recreational and educational opportunities to underserved Montgomery County youth using tennis as a vehicle to teach sportmanship, self-discipline, life-skills and strong work ethic.
MCTEF continued to provide free After School Tennis Clubs at 15 middle schools in the county. We also started our first elementary school program at Strathmore Elementary. Our after school enrollment jumped from 88 students in the spring to over 150 in the Fall.
MCTEF supports a Summer Tennis Camp program. Teaming up with Four Star Tennis Academy at the University of Virginia, 11 campers went to Tennis and Enrichment Camp in 2019. We hope to continue selecting campers from derserving youth who participate in our after-school tennis club programs for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The UVA Tennis and Enrichment Camp combines athletics with academics focused on entrepreneurship.
CITIOPEN bring live tennis tournaments to Washington, DC each July and actively work with local charities and community organizations to make tennis accessible to everyone in the greater national capital area.
