Capacity & Collaboration - HSC provides capacity building services that strive to improve the effectiveness of nonprofits serving Prince Georges County. Our strategies include information and educational trainings, technical assistance, advocacy and networking and collaboration opportunities. In FY2018, HSC had 610 individuals participate in events, representing 195 organizations.
Advocacy- HSC engages public officials, business leaders, foundations to inform them about the impact and needs of the nonprofit sector. HSC also ensures that The Prince Georges County nonprofit community is informed and involved in the Countys budget process, and that nonprofits are actively engaged in legislation relevant to the community.
