THE BETHESDA FIRE DEPARTMENT, INC. HELPS SAVE LIVES IN COOPORATION WITH MONTGOMERY COUNTY'S FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICES.
The Bethesda Fire Department Inc. helps save lives in cooperation with Mongtgomery County's Fire Department.
Fire Stations - BFD owns, maintains and provides Three Fire Stations in Bethesda to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service. From grants received under the State of Maryland Senator William H. Amoss Fire, Rescue & Ambulance funds, BFD is able to maintain these fire fighters and to make capital improvements and renovations to these facilities on and ongoing basis. These expenditures must be approved in advance by Montgomery County and are made in accordance with the Amoss fund statute.
Fire Equipment - BFD augments the resources for professional fire fighters by purchasing and maintaining fire equipment, including fire engines, hose wagons, fire alarms, emergency medical vehicles and other apparatus crucial to fire and rescue operations.
