CONSUMER CREDIT COUNSELING SERVICE OF MARYLAND AND DELAWARE, INC., (CCCSMD) IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOUNDED IN 1966 BY A GROUP OF LOCAL BUSINESS LEADERS WHO RECOGNIZED A COMMUNITY NEED FOR FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND COUNSELING. HISTORICALLY, THE CORNERSTONE OF OUR ORGANIZATION HAS BEEN CREDIT COUNSELING, DEBT MANAGEMENT, AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION. TODAY, CCCSMD PROVIDES A FULL RANGE OF SERVICES THAT ALSO INCLUDES STUDENT LOAN COUNSELING, CREDIT BUILDING/REBUILDING, AND HOUSING COUNSELING. OUR CERTIFIED COUNSELORS AND COACHES HELP CONSUMERS UNDERSTAND AND ALLEVIATE FINANCIAL AND HOUSING ISSUES AND GAIN FINANCIAL STABILITY. ANNUALLY WE REACH MORE THAN 11,000 CONSUMERS THROUGH COUNSELING, COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS AND OUTREACH EVENTS. CCCSMD IS A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR CREDIT COUNSELING, ACCREDITED BY THE COUNCIL ON ACCREDITATION, AND IS A HUD-APPROVED NATIONAL INTERMEDIARY HOUSING COUNSELING AGENCY.
