THE DOWNTOWN COLUMBIA ARTS AND CULTURE COMMISSION CONTINUED TO OVERSEE SIGNIFICANT RENOVATIONS AT MERRIWEATHER POST PAVILION, INCLUDING THE COMPLETION OF THE FOURTH PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION WHICH FEATURED THE VENUE'S NEW AND UNIQUE SKYLAWNS AS WELL AS SKYBOXES. THE FIFTH PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION WAS INITIATED AND WILL INCLUDE NEW CONCESSIONS, BATHROOMS THAT WILL BE SHARED WITH THE SURROUNDING PARKLAND, AND SIGNIFICANT ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS. ADDITIONALLY, DCACC ANNOUNCED SOULFUL SYMPHONY AS THE RESIDENT ORCHESTRA OF MERRIWEATHER POST PAVILION AND HOSTED ITS FIRST PERFOMANCE AT THE VENUE IN JUNE. AND FINALLY, DCACC AGAIN PRESENTED A POPULAR SERIES OF OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHTS AT THE VENUE.
