TO REPRESENT THE INTEREST OF ITS MEMBERS WHO ARE DRYCLEANERS, LAUNDERERS, WETCLEANERS, AND ALLIED TRADES; TO PROVIDE EDUCATION, RESEARCH, LEGISLATIVE REPRESENTATIONS, AND INDUSTRY SPECIFIC INFORMATION THROUGH ITS PROGRAMS, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES; IS DEDICATED TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF BUSINESS ETHICS AND PROFESSIONALISM, ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY, TEXTILE SERVICEABILITY, AND A POSITIVE PUBLIC IMAGE.

MEMBER SERVICES: WITH MORE THAN 2,000 MEMBERS, DLI PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL EVENTS SUCH AS FIELD AND IN-HOUSE TRAINING SEMINARS, AND THE BIENNIAL CLEAN SHOW. OTHER BENEFITS INCLUDE PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS FOR DRYCLEANING, WETCLEANING AND THE ENVIRONMENT, AS WELL AS FABRICARE MAGAZINE, FABRICARE RESOURCES JOURNAL, PUBLICATIONS DELIVERING THE LATEST IN CLEANING TECHNOLOGY, AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. MEMBERS ALSO HAVE EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO THE GARMENT ANALYSIS SERVICE AT DLI. THE INTERNATIONAL TEXTILE ANALYSIS LABORATORY PROVIDES UNBIASED, ANALYSIS REPORTS TO DETERMINE THE CAUSES OF STAINED OR DAMAGED GARMENTS IN THE CLEANING PROCESS.
RESEARCH, GARMENT ANALYSIS, AND TEXTILE TESTING - STATE-OF-THE-ART, TECHNICAL SERVICE LABORATORIES ESTABLISH DLI AS THE FOREMOST AUTHORITY ON CLEANING PERFORMANCE AND CARE LABEL DEVELOPMENT FOR TODAY'S FASHIONS. WITHIN DLI'S COMPREHENSIVE FABRICARE TESTING CENTER, APPAREL, TEXTILE AND PRODUCT MANUFACTURERS CAN EVALUATE APPAREL AND FABRICS UNDER AREAL WORLD CONDITIONS USING THE LATEST CLEANING TECHNOLOGY-PERC, HYDROCARBON, WETCLEANING, COMMERCIAL LAUNDERING/WASHING, AND ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES. DLI'S QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY PROVIDES PROTOCOLS FOR DRYCLEANING SYSTEMS AS WELL AS LAUNDERING OPERATIONS TO TEST QUALITY STANDARDS AND CONTROLS AND ACHIEVE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF EFFICIENCY.
