The Lady Shooting Stars is a girls AAU basketball organization in the Anne Arundel County area that provides opportunities for girls ranging in age from 10-17 years old to play in competitive local, regional and national tournaments.
Develop leadership, sportsmanship and educational excellence in girls ages 10 to 17 who are in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades by participating in organized Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) of the United States, Inc. basketball sporting events that instill teamwork, growth and personal development. This is accomplished by participation in organized Spring, Summer and Fall leagues which provide scheduled pratice sessions, coaching and participation in local AAU league games with other teams. This prepares the girls to participate in local, regional and national AAU basketball tournament events to achieve individual and team Lady Star player accomplishments that are recognized at the annual sports banquet. Revenue consists of membership dues and league fees.
