Donations From The Heart, Inc. is a faith based nonprofit serving disadvantage individuals/families, those classified as low income as well as our US Military troops and US Veterans in all 5 Branches of the Armed Forces.
Served military families with rental and food assistance on Fort Meade, military housing. Served non-military families with rental assistance to prevent homelessness. Provided utility assistance for families with local utility companies such as SMECO, BGE, and water companies. In total, served 12 families with rental and utility assistance. Due to COVID, we also provided hotel assistance to 4 homeless individuals unable to access shelters.
Served families with one month's worth of groceries, including bags of fresh groceries during our Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive; served families and children with partnership with The GAP store outlet in Arundel Mills ADOPT-A-FAMILY program. In total, served 103 families with direct food and clothing assistance, while providing indirect support through partnerships with other charitable organizations.
Served 16 senior citizens with medical devices, such as wheelchairs, port-a-potties, canes and walkers; provided prescription assistance to 6 families; provided transportation assistance to 17 individuals needing transportation to medical appointments and job interviews as they transition back into the work world. Provided 68 children with educational support.
