AT THE SAME TIME, A NEED WAS DISCOVERED TO PROVIDE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR HOMELESS VETERANS. IT WAS DECIDED THAT CHEP WOULD UTILIZE FUNDS EARNED BY PROVIDING CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMMING TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT THE VETERAN TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND CASE MANAGEMENT TO HOMELESS VETERANS IN MARYLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA, AND WASHINGTON DC. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES COST-EFFECTIVE HEALTHCARE EDUCATION AND FULL SERVICE MEETING PLANNING SERVICES FOR LOCAL AND NATIONAL EVENTS OF ANY SIZE.

EDUCATION PROGRAM & CONFERENCES - WE PROVIDED 24 LOCAL ACCREDITED CLINICAL AND DENTAL PROGRAMS TO OVER 1,725 COMMUNITY AND VETERANS ADMINISTRATION HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. WE PROVIDED OR SUPPORTED OVER 5 REGIONAL AND NATIONAL PROGRAMS AND CONFERENCES.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR HOMELESS VETERANS - CHARLESTON, SCOUR PROGRAMS IN SC CURRENTLY OPERATE 70 BEDS, 40 OF WHICH ARE SUPPORTED BY THE VETERANS ADMINISTARTION GRANT & PER DIEM PROGRAM. WE ARE THE LARGEST PROVIDER OF TRANSITIONAL HOUSING TO HOMELESS VETERANS IN THE STATE. WE ARE THE ONLY PROGRAM IN THE STATE THAT OFFERS SERVICES TO FEMALE VETERANS AND THEIR CHILDREN VIA A SEPERATE CONTRACT MECHANISM. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO HELP EACH VETERAN ACHIEVE INDEPENDENT LIVING IN THE COMMUNITY. THIS SITE PROVIDED OVER 15,000 BED DAYS IN 2019 TO VETERANS IN NEED.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR HOMELESS VETERANS - PERRY POINT, MDOUR PROGRAM IN MARYLAND CURRENTLY OPERATES 29 BEDS WHICH ARE SUPPORTED BY THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION GRANT & PER DIEM PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM HAS CONSISTENTLY ACHIEVED RESULTS ABOVE THE NATIONAL AVERAGES FOR GOALS IDENTIFIED BY THE VA GRANT AND PER DIEM PROGRAM. WE MAINTAINED AN AVERAGE OCCUPANCY OF 97% AND PROVIDED OVER 10,200 BED DAYS OF SUPPORTIVE CARE IN 2019.
