To preserve, restore, interpret and develop the 25 acres of Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum and the 19th Century village of the Nassawango Iron Furnace
During 2019, Furnace Town welcomed hundreds of students from across the Lower Shore to it's site to learn about Furnace Town, the Nassawango Iron Furnace and the history and culture of Maryland's Lower Eastern Shore. Hundreds of other visitors also visited Furnace Town and learn about life in the 19th century in Worcester County. The buildings and artifacts on display were preserved and enhanced during the year.
