Organizations Filed Purposes: To promote historic preservation, education and patriotism.

Historic Preservation: DCDAR supports the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR)museum, library and historic buildings, as well as projects in the District of Columbia including Boundary Stones.

Education: DCDAR supports designated NSDAR school and education funds, and engages in activities that support education and literacy in the District of Columbia. This year DCDAR supplied books,awards,and refreshments for McKinley Technical High School's Book Club. DCDAR also provided support to the LifeBridge program at DAR Tamassee School in South Carolina in support of their college program for their students.

Patriotism: DCDAR promotes citizenship and provides support for local veterans, wounded warriors, and US servicemen and women here and overseas. This year, DCDAR supported monthly naturalization ceremonies and a reception for new citizens at US District Court in DC, supported Pets for VET and the Patient Centered Care Fund at the DC VA Medical Center.
