Glorystar Childrens Chorus (GCC) provides excellent music education to children and youth in the joy of choral art. Through a rich repertoire of Eastern and Western music, GCC promotes music appreciation and builds bridges in our diverse community

Our student community is approximately 90% Asian or Asian descent, and 9% received some financial aid. The choristers are divided into five singing groups according to age and music knowledge: Prima, Dolce, Cantabile, Concert, and Chamber choirs. The music education includes vocal techniques, music theory, sight-reading, ear training, music appreciation and interpretation, and choral harmony. On March 14th, following CDC guidance, we were able to immediately transition our in-person classes to online teaching with coordinated innovative virtual programming.
Public Performances Revised paragraph with revised numbers: $ 24,987.24 oPresented a total of 6 public performances of Eastern and Western choral music, reaching an audience of more than 2,500 people, and host six events (in-person pre-pandemic and virtual during the pandemic): 2 full concerts with all singing groups, 2 smaller concerts (1 or 2 singing groups), 1 invitational performance (Festival of Lights), and 1 festival participation: Maryland Young Voices Festival. All performances were accessible for individuals of all abilities.
