Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of the Montgomery County (MD) Delta Alumnae Foundation, Inc. (MCDAF) is to secure funds from various sources to provide scholarships to Montgomery County students and to support specific programs of Montgomery County non-profit and not-for-profit organizations/agencies. Supported programs will include public service programs that benefit youth, families, and the elderly.
Competitive based grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations whose programs and activities align with the MCDAF mission and support youth, families and the elderly.
Public Service Programs - Sponsorship support was provided for an empowerment conference which targeted teenage girls and their parents, supplies were purchased for high school students to distribute comfort kits to victims of natural disasters during Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Day of Service and information was distributed throughout our service area regarding the Affordable Health Care Act.
Scholarship Programs - Scholarships ranging from $500 to $5000 are awarded to students attending Montgomery College. Three scholarships were awarded to cover tuition, emergencies and other school-related expenses.
