Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of the National Postdoctoral Association is to improve the postdoctoral experience by supporting enhanced research training and a culture of enhanced professional growth to benefit scholarship and innovation.
NPA Annual Meeting: Each spring the NPA hosts its Annual Meeting, which is the only national event dedicated to the postdoctoral community. At this meeting, many topics pertinent to science policy, diversity, mentoring, entrepreneurship, and the scientific research enterprise are discussed and debated on a national level. Due to the Coronavirus the 2020 conference was cancelled. The Association still received revenues and incurred costs related to the 2020 meeting.
Membership Services. As a membership organization, NPA incurs expenses for managing its membership. These expenses are programmatic in nature, as part of NPA's exempt purpose is to serve the postdoctoral community.
Publications: These costs are for the development and maintenance of website content for the public. They also support the Association's newsletter, e-alerts, fact sheets, and reports.
