Organizations Filed Purposes:
TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO LEUKEMIA PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH SWABBING EVENTS, AND MEALS DELIVERED TO FAMILIES OF PATIENTS.
Bone marrow donor registry drives - in 2019, we registered 1,316 bone marrow donors at 74 drives across Maryland and the country. This resulted in 44 matches between people we registered and patients in need of a transplant, and 6 life saving donations.
Patient meals - in 2019, we funded the blood cancer patients and family meals through movable feast equivalent to approximately 170 meals. These meals are medically-tailored and home-delivered to blood cancer patients and their families in Baltimore city and county who have been referred by a social worker.
